Lionel Friend – Keeping Good Time
The distinguished conductor has led orchestral and opera performances all over the world, from Europe to the Antipodes. As a staff conductor at English National Opera for thirteen years he worked closely with Sir Reginald Goodall. He has also collaborated with Daniel Barenboim and other leading musicians. In this session, illustrated by recordings, he talks about the role of the conductor and reveals some of the secrets of the profession.
Ryan Corbett plays classical accordion in the Autumn Series of Chamber Music at 3pm on Sunday 3rd November. £12 including complimentary drinks at the bar afterwards. Call the Box Office on 07973 186729.
