After more than a century, Suburb residents still continue to value the existence and activities of this important, popular and unique institution. Not only the magnificent response to the 2014 Suburb Refurbishment Appeal but also the well attended events and activities held at Fellowship House attest to this.

However, notwithstanding the unending hard work put in by the volunteer management team, money is needed year in, year out to run the building: cleaning, gardening, maintenance, utility bills, welfare work and admin costs – all have to be paid for.

There are several ways Suburb residents can help this successful institution to remain successful – whether they wish to participate in Fellowship’s activities or not:

Donating directly is an important source of revenue for Fellowship and cheques and electronic credits are equally welcome. Remember to use the Gift Aid Form to increase the value of your donations by 25%.

Please contact the Treasurer at [email protected] to make a donation.

Please also consider writing us into your will. Contact the Treasurer for more information on bequests.

Fellowship warmly welcomes applications for Club membership from any Suburb resident over the age of 60. As well as the benefit of belonging to this friendly club, Membership entitles you to participation in the activities laid on especially for members as well as entry fee reductions for many other events (for example a £2 reduction for the Weekly Talks) and activities taking place at Fellowship House. All members receive by email or by post a bimonthly newsletter.

The Membership Fee is £25 per person per year. To become a member, please email [email protected]  . Tenants at The Orchard are free.

Much of our income comes each year from the money donated by Suburb residents along with their annual subscription payments to the Residents Association. Existing and new members can pay their joint RA subscription and donation to Fellowship here and further information about the RA is available here.

Fellowship is always interested to hear from Suburb residents who are interested in hiring its facilities for private functions or from local organisations who wish to hold events, meetings or other activities in the building – on a one off or regular basis.

We’re always interested in hearing from anyone who can spare a little time for helping out in the kitchen or with any of the Committee’s many administrative tasks.
