Elgar
Serena Leader
The violinist Serena Leader has performed as a soloist at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Hall in her native Holland, as well as various British venues including the Wigmore Hall. She and Barry Millington will introduce and play Elgar’s Violin Sonata, one of the composer’s late, nostalgic chamber works, described by his wife, Alice, as ‘wonderful new music, different from anything else of his’ and by a close friend as ‘wood magic. So elusive & delicate’.
Friday 21st July 2.30pm
