Music Appreciation

These once or twice monthly Friday afternoon sessions organised by Barry Millington have become seriously popular. They are at 2.30 and complimentary tea and biscuits follow. Admission is £2 for Fellowship Members and £4 for non Members. Programme details as follows:

‘St Judes and Beyond’

 Nicholas Chalmers

Well known locally as the Director of Music and Organist at St Jude-on-the-Hill, Nicholas Chalmers has established a reputation as a leading choral director and conductor all over the UK and abroad. Former conductor of Northern Ireland Opera and Neville Holt Opera, he is now a Senior Associate Artist of the Royal Opera House, an Associate Conductor of the BBC Singers and has recently taken up an appointment as Fernside Chair of Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music.

Nicholas will be talking about a range of music in relation to the various posts he holds.
