Some light at the end of the tunnel – Boris permitting.
The Committee has continued its work on a slow and cautious restart. Androulla has already reopened her twice weekly chiropody sessions for members. Chris Page is now co-ordinating croquet which has been going for some time on the croquet lawn and Nichola Brown works out members of her weekly Zumba classes on the front terrace. Other activities starting in the week commencing 5th October inside Fellowship House are Yoga, Pilates, Dressmaking, Music Appreciation and ‘Share a Poem’. ‘Film Club’ will restart on 12th November and some other smaller classes are under consideration too. Please contact Jill Purdie (8458-5042) for times and other programme details. Much work has been done on providing a ‘Covid Safe’ environment (social distancing, sanitiser, face masks, ventilation, proper cleaning between all sessions etc). Unfortunately the kitchen will remain closed for the time being and the building will be open only to those with programmed appointments, classes, meetings etc. We do hope everyone will see these moves as a sign of Fellowship positivity in these difficult times and will bear with our hardworking team of volunteers as we press on towards those sunny uplands.
